RREPP MARCH Newsletter - Education Through Sport In PNG
RREPP as an ethically aligned Social Enterprise loves the client base we have gradually built over the years. So it is always inspiring when we join forces with organisations who are just as passionate about putting 'People + Planet First' as we are. RREPP has recently collaborated with the Kokoda Track Foundation and the PNG Olympic Committee to create a custom designed ethically made Soccer Ball for their 'Kicks 4 Kokoda' program in 2025. A program that embraces RREPP's beliefs in relation to how sport can be used as an educative catalyst to teach kids key life skills and values plus the importance of health and fitness as they move into adulthood.
Through the fun and camaraderie of football, the ‘Kicks 4 Kokoda’ project helps the Kokoda region’s large youth population overcome some of the challenges they face including limited access to quality health services and referral pathways, inequality of girls and boys, and a high incidence of gender-based violence. At this vulnerable age (12-19 years old), access to accurate information and fundamental health services is critical for positive development.
RREPP Founder Scott Goddard delivered the Balls last month to Kate Donnellan who is the Head of Health at the Kokoda Track Foundation. Kick off for all the matches aligned to this ground breaking initiative is in a few months time. Stay tuned for more updates and photos post kick off!
